I grew up in a village in Mount Lebanon, watching women I loved live lives shaped by other people’s decisions. At seventeen I chose medicine, then gynecology, as a mission.

Every patient who asked me “why is this happening” pushed me further: into homeopathy, herbal medicine, functional medicine, kinesiology, hypnosis, and past life regression.

My personal spiritual path in Sufism added wisdom and presence to the work we do together, the person seeking assistance and me.

Modern medicine is built around what goes wrong, and loses sight of the healthy, amazing abilities of the body. Every couple finds its own way back to trusting the body. What they need is someone to remind them of their choices, of how to prepare, and of their right to ask, before any procedure, why it is offered and whether it can wait.

For years I 'delivered' babies the way other obstetricians do. Then I understood that birth is something else. The birth belongs to the woman giving birth, and the medical practitioner is there to assist only when needed.
